I started the process of creating my athleisure line by choosing a country as inspiration. The country I chose was Iran. The middle east has always been a place that interests me. It is a place that I would love to travel to and experience the many different cultures and fashion. After doing more research, I found Iran and it seemed the like the perfect country to use as inspiration.

Next I found some images that inspired me. I created a collage with them as a mood board, which you can find above. After creating this collage, I focused in on the many different shapes and icons in the images. I then chose my favorite shapes and created the icons below.

I continued to use my collage to find the colors that spoke to me. I used my dropper tool in Adobe Photoshop to collect the colors below.

Next, I continued to use Adobe Photoshop to create the patterns below. In each of the patterns you’ll see that I used the icons I created above to create these patterns. Each pattern is shown in two color ways.

Lastly, I used Adobe Illustrator to create my flats. I started with the plain pieces and added my patterns in later to finish off the designs.
